Beit Chabad in Yavne is a place for every Jew, offering diverse activities for the citys inhabitants, both on a spiritual and a material level. Rabbi Joseph Yitzchak Lerer was sent to the city by the Lubavitcher Rebbe in 1986 in order to establish and maintain a Chabad house. Since then Rabbi Lerer works tirelessly in order to help everyone who is in need. The Chabad house is active in various fields: Teaching boys before their Bar Mitzvah, distributing food baskets to families throughout the year, a synagogue that is open to people from diverse cultural backgrounds, bible schools, responding to questions in all areas relevant to Judaism, activities for children and adults around the Jewish holidays, assistance and guidance for anyone who turns to the center for help, particularly families who face any type of crisis, and more...
